As it becomes more and more feasible to merge ourselves with the machines we build, we must ask the question: are they actually bringing us tangible benefit? In my M.Sc. Thesis I asked exactly this question of a wrist prosthesis control scheme I designed and developed to reduce users’ compensatory movements.
The design files for the Bypass Prosthesis have also been released open-source.
