Between 2013 and 2017, as undergraduate summer student in the BLINC Lab, I designed and built the Humanoid, Anthropometric, Naturally Dextrous, Intelligent (HANDi) Hand. Since its release in August 2017, the HANDi Hand has been built by several institutions around the globe, including groups at the University of Utah, ETH Zurich, and Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt (DLR, Germany).
Full technical details of the 2017 version of the hand were published in MEC ’17, and the open-source project is available on Github.
